Despite the threat of heavy rains looming Saturday, more than 50 stands were set up and operated by youth from area schools inside the Americana neighborhood for the sixth annual Lemonade Day Louisiana.

Students from Rollins Place, Zachary and Copper Mill elementary schools participated, as did youth from Baton Rouge, Central, Prairieville and Port Allen.

Lemonade Day Louisiana co-founder Todd Graves, executive director Jordan Piazza, Lemonade Day Baton Rouge city champion Chris Ferrari, Zachary Mayor David Amrhein and other leaders visited the stands at the Americana event to provide encouragement for the young entrepreneurs.
