Maison Greige, 4613 Church St., Zachary, is holding a Holiday Open House from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 30. Raffles and donations to benefit the American Cancer Society will be a part of the celebration.
The Baker Christmas parade is 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2.
Saturday is also Christmas in the Park, a Family Day Out hosted by Baker C.A.N. at Dr. MLK MemorialCity Park on Groom Road, across from Baker High.

A free candy cane hunt for all children, hosted by 100 Black Boys and Girls of America, will start after the parade, about 4 p.m.
Have a library fine?
From Dec. 1-31, East Baton Rouge Parish Library patrons who owe fines may have $1 deducted from their account for each canned good or nonperishable food item they drop off at the circulation desk at each library location. All donated items will go to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.
This applies only to charges for overdue fines, not for lost or damaged items.
During the 2016 Food for Fines promotion, patrons donated 11,886 pounds of food, including 10,170 pounds collected for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank and 1,716 pounds collected for the Zachary Food Pantry.
The Zachary Charity League is hosting a Christmas Winter Wonderland from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3 at Fennwood Country Club, 6003 Fennwood Country Club. Children can enjoy cookies and milk with Santa and his friends as well as other activities. Parents are invited to bring cameras for photo opportunities. Tickets are $15. District 1 meeting
District 1 Wast Baton Rouge Parish Metro Councilman Trae Welch will hold a meeting at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the Chaneyville Community Center, 13211 Jackson Road. Anyone living in the district, which includes most of the northern part of the parish, is invited.
The New Hope Baptist Church, 1405 La. 409, Slaughter, will celebrate the 11th anniversary of its pastor, the Rev. Dr. James M. Turner, at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3. The Rev. Joseph Quincy and the congregation of New Galilee Baptist Church will be special guests.
