During October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Zachary High School Lady Bronco volleyball squad will “Geaux Pink” in effort to help the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center “slam breast cancer.”

On Oct. 6, the players began selling baked goods to other students on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the first and second lunch shifts.

The team is asking for everyone’s support by wearing pink to their October games: McKinley away on Oct. 15, Scotlandville at home Oct. 20, St. Joseph’s Academy away Oct. 22, Baton Rouge High at home Oct. 27,

Brusly away Oct. 28 and Dutchtown at home Oct. 29.

The squad also participates in the Episcopal Varsity tournament Oct. 30-31 in Baton Rouge.
