The newly built Core Kinetics Physical Therapy celebrated its opening at 1673 E. Mount Pleasant Road, Suite F, in Zachary on Jan. 21 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house.

Physical therapist Adam Elam, founder of Core Kinetics, is a native of Jackson and a 2007 graduate of Silliman Institute.

He received a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2011 and doctorate of physical therapy degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis in 2014.

Elam is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Louisiana Physical Therapy Association, the Zachary Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club.

“Opening my own physical therapy practice has a been a long time coming, and I wasn’t sure I’d ever get here,” Elam said at the ribbon cutting. “I’m glad to be part of a community that’s doing such great things.”

Casey Keene, Core Kinetics’ vice president of operations, is a native of Shreveport. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2011.

Prior to joining the Core Kinetics team, Keene held the director of marketing position for downtown Monroe’s Economic Development District.

Lisa Andrews, a native of Zachary, is Core’s office manager. She has 17 years’ experience working in the physical therapy field. Andrews lives in Zachary with her husband, Jay, and their three children.
