Lane Behavioral Health Services hosted an open house June 25, celebrating its move into a new location at 4801 McHugh Road, Suite A, Zachary.

Joining Behavioral Health staff was the Zachary Chamber of Commerce, which hosted a ribbon-cutting for its member.

Tours of the new facility were held and refreshments served.

“Moving was a whirlwind, but clients feel more relaxed in our new peaceful environment we have here. Plus, the larger space allows us to continue to expand and grow the services we provide,” Medical Director Dr. Pamela J. Parsons said.

Lane Behavioral Health is an intensive outpatient treatment facility for adults experiencing life-altering emotional crises such as depression, anxiety, panic, stress, fear and other personal disorders, a news release said.

An active treatment program teaches powerful and practical ways to respond to any type of traumatic life event, behavioral difficulty or emotional distress, especially major events due to the loss of a job, health or relationship, the release said.

In addition to its outpatient treatment program, the center also offers an outpatient Partial Hospitalization Program for adults experiencing acute mental health crisis. This program may be appropriate for those making the transition from inpatient to outpatient and provides a more intensive level of care, reducing the risk of inpatient hospitalization, the release said.

The center opened in Zachary in 2012 and services clients in both individual and group therapy sessions from East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Pointe Coupee and West Feliciana parishes.
