The Zachary High School Library Club has donated new children’s books to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church’s Catholic Daughters of America Court 2079 in Brusly.

The books will go to the Sweet Dreams Shelter at St. Vincent de Paul for its in-house library.

The Sweet Dreams Shelter houses homeless women and children.

The donation was initiated by Laura Mayeux, of Catholic Daughters of America, when she volunteered at the ZHS Library and expressed a need for books to start the chapter’s Build a Library project.

To contribute new books to the CDA’s library project, email Mayeux at lmyu2084@gmail.com.
