Throughout October’s National Bullying Prevention Month, Zachary Elementary students participated in various anti-bullying activities.
During anti-bullying week, the students wore brightly colored, patterned and mismatched socks to “sock it to bullying.”
They wore neon or brightly colored shirts to show that they are “too bright to bully,” school officials said.
The week ended with students competing in a poster contest and ZES faculty and staff creating anti-bullying door displays.
Fourth-grade winners in the poster contest included Amelia Johnson, first place; Madison Gregory, second place; and Kaitlyn Cavalier, third place.
Third-grade winners were Andrew Barton, first place; Amelia Concienne, second place; and Yasmin Batchelor, third place.
The winners received trophies for their efforts.
