Christopher Gremillion

A 28-year-old Baton Rouge man was charged Wednesday with fatally shooting a man and injuring the victim's fiancee in front of their three children on Lorraine Street in March.

Christopher Earl Gremillion, 10795 Mead Road, was indicted on counts of second-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, and armed robbery in the killing of Decoty Joseph, 28, and wounding of his fiancee.

The incident happened on March 8 at Joseph's residence when Gremillion forced his way into the home with a handgun and demanded valuables, his arrest report states.

The case has been assigned to state District Judge Bonnie Jackson.
