A Baton Rouge man was arrested early Sunday after his girlfriend was found unconscious and visibly battered outside their residence and surrounded by her five young, crying children, according to East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office.
A person shot while inside a vehicle in the 11000 block of Gibbens Road just north of Baton Rouge Metro Airport around 5:30 p.m. Sunday was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.

A person shot Sunday evening during a domestic incident at Ole London Town apartments on O'Neal Lane is in critical condition, according to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office.
