Three people died and one was seriously injured early Sunday in what Baton Rouge police are calling a murder suicide.
The incident took place at about 1:20 a.m. Sunday at 1077 North Donmoor Ave. Marquiles Whaley, 20, shot three people, including his girlfriend, then turned the gun on himself, said Cpl. L’Jean Mckneely Jr., a Baton Rouge Police Department spokesman.
Whaley, his 18-year-old girlfriend Makalya Jones, and Shawyn Lollis, 38, died. An unidentified 36-year-old woman was shot and seriously injured.
The shooting is under investigation.
