Chad Glascock

A Livingston man is accused of killing another man and dumping his body near a hunting club path after the alleged killer accused the victim of stealing his wallet, said Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard.

Chad Glascock, 39, is accused of killing 31-year-old Brent Pollard on Wednesday at Pollard's South Satsuma Road home, Ard said in a press release.

Ard said Glascock accused Pollard of taking his wallet and their argument turned into a physical brawl that ended with Pollard's death.

Ard said Glascock then "went to great lengths to dump and conceal Pollard's body," which deputies found at 1:47 p.m. Thursday off a hunting club path near Red Oak Road in Livingston.

Investigators found out about the incident after Pollard's family reported him missing and requested a welfare check.

Glascock, of 29847 S. Poplar, Livingston, was booked in the Livingston Parish Detention Center on second-degree murder, obstruction of justice and possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substances.

Glascock's bond was set as $150,000, $25,000 and $10,000 for the three arrest counts, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office online booking records.
