The man killed Tuesday in a shooting on Atkinson Street has been identified as 38-year-old Garfen Neville.

Neville, 16441 S. Harrells Ferry Road, was found just before 8 p.m. lying near 400 Atkinson with multiple gunshot wounds, Baton Rouge police spokesman Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said.

Investigators said they believe the shooting was drug related, McKneely said.

No arrests have been made and no suspects have been named.

3 booked with DWI in EBR Parish Prison

Authorities arrested at least three people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 a.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, booking records show.

Those booked and the counts against them:

• Kayla Ladner, 19, 1825 Filmore St., second-offense DWI, improper lane usage, not in possession of driver’s license and speeding.

• Matthew Zumo, 20, 14454 Central Woods Ave., first-offense DWI, improper left/right turns and speeding.

• Emanuel Coates, 27, 4333 Sumrall Drive, first-offense DWI, reckless operation of a vehicle and insurance required.
