A house fire late Saturday left three people displaced and caused significant damage to their home, according to the Baton Rouge Fire Department.

Crews responded around 11:15 p.m. to the 2700 block of Pontiac Street and found fire coming from the back bedroom, department spokesman Mark Miles said in a news release Sunday. They had the fire under control by 11:30 p.m.

The cause of the fire is undetermined. Red Cross was called out to assist the family.
