Baton Rouge police are investigating an armed robbery and shooting of a pizza delivery driver late Thursday on Shelley Street, according to Baton Rouge Police Cpl. L’Jean McKneely, who said the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.

A news release from the Police Department gave this account:

The 20-year-old Domino’s Pizza employee was delivering food items around 11:15 p.m. in the 4000 block of Shelley Street when three teenagers tried to force their way into the delivery vehicle.

While attempting to fight off the suspects, the victim was shot in the arm. The teens, reported to be between the ages of 15 and 16, grabbed the food items and fled the scene on foot.
