A 24-year-old Baton Rouge woman, who was injured in a single-vehicle crash on April 16 on Gardere Lane, has died as a result of her injuries, State Police reported Wednesday.

State Police gave this account of the crash:

Jonquelle Henry lost control of her vehicle around 11:40 p.m. on April 16 and struck a metal pole on Gardere Lane near the intersection with GSRI Avenue. She was unrestrained at the time of the crash and was hospitalized in critical condition. A 3-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the car and was also unrestrained, was treated for minor injuries. Troopers do not suspect alcohol or drugs as contributing factors. They noted that Henry’s vehicle was improperly equipped with worn tires with no tread.
