Eight people were arrested in a undercover prostitution sting in Lafayette Friday and Saturday, according to the Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force.

The Metro Narcotics Task Force conducted the sting inside Lafayette’s city limits, according to a news release from the agency. The operation targeted upscale escorts and their clients who utilize social media as a means of facilitating prostitution deals, the agency said.

Joining the Metro Narcotics Task Force in the operation were officers from the Lafayette Police Department and deputies with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Department Intelligence Unit.

Those arrested for soliciting for a prostitute were Stanford Philavong, 27; Joshua Comeaux, 24; Warner Q. Borres, 40; Edgar Castillo, 35; and Rolando Garza, 28.

The escorts arrested for soliciting for prostitution were Ashley Green, 22, Savannah Kovarik, 19, and Jarvis Curley, 27.

Two women were also detained and released pending further investigation related to suspected prostitution, according to the release.
