The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for East and West Baton Rouge parishes and Livingston Parish Sunday afternoon until 4:45 p.m.

The storm is capable of producing quarter-size hail, damaging winds in excess of 60 miles per hour, heavy rain and deadly lightning. As of about 4:00 p.m., the storm was located near Baton Rouge, moving east at 30 miles per hour.

Several Entergy power outages are being reported across the Baton Rouge area, including one affecting 178 customers in north Baton Rouge near Eden Park and Roselawn Memorial Park.
