Baton Rouge man booked in sex crime against 12-year-old _lowres

Richard Deandre Anderson

Deputies arrested a Baton Rouge man Tuesday after a school official reported in February that he was molesting a 12-year-old student and making her watch pornography.

The school official contacted East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office detectives Feb. 15 after a student revealed that Richard Deandre Anderson, 40, had touched her inappropriately and made her watch pornography, according to a Sheriff’s Office report.

The 12-year-old victim told deputies Anderson had raped her sometime the week before and that he “makes her watch nasty stuff on television.” The girl was taken to Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, but the physical exam disclosed no signs she had been raped, according to the report.

Investigators contacted the state Department of Children and Family Services, the report says, and she told DCFS a similar story the next day.

When investigators interviewed Anderson, he denied the girl’s allegations.

Anderson, 7941 Videt Polk Drive, was booked into Parish Prison on an aggravated sex crime count. Bail was set at $25,000.
