A fatal shooting on Crown Street Friday night is being investigated by Baton Rouge police — the fourth in the city in as many days.

Argell Myles, 29, of 8857 Thelma St., was found lying in the 4800 block of Crown Street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at about 9:20 p.m., said Baton Rouge police spokesman Cpl. L’Jean McKneely.

Myles was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries, McKneely said. No other details about the shooting were available Saturday.

The following men were shot to death just days earlier:

Justin Guillory, 21, of 7821 Videt Polk Drive, was fatally shot Thursday night while walking out of a basketball gym at Berean Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Anthony Johnson, 23, was shot and killed Wednesday while sitting on the porch of his 1837 Plank Road home.

Jarvis Tucker, 33, was found shot to death Tuesday morning in his home at 1089 North 48th St.

No arrests have been made in any of the four recent murders, McKneely said, but investigations into each are ongoing.

So far this year, Baton Rouge has seen approximately 30 slayings, McKneely said, but that number is unofficial and includes negligent and justifiable homicides. The number is subject to change when sent to the FBI, which gives the official, uniform crime reporting number of homicides at the end of the year.
