Baton Rouge police arrested a man early Monday accused of shooting at another man, whose head was grazed by a bullet.
The victim told police he sent a text message to a female friend asking for gas money Monday about 5:45 a.m. The victim arranged to meet the friend at the CVS pharmacy at 2520 Plank Road, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
But when the victim arrived, the woman’s ex-husband was waiting in a truck, the affidavit says.
Marvin Jones, 43, the ex-husband, fired a gun several times into the back of the victim’s car before driving off, police said in the affidavit. The victim told police he believed the truck belonged to Jones, whom authorities arrested shortly after the shooting.
Jones, of 2745 Osceola St., Baton Rouge, was booked Monday into Parish Prison on counts of attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon and aggravated damage to property.

Augustus, of 2548 Fairchild St., Baton Rouge, was booked into Parish Prison on two counts of aggravated battery.
