Emergency crews responded to a shooting that injured one person on Iroquois Street Monday afternoon, said Emergency Medical Services spokesman Mike Chustz.

Around 2 p.m. Monday, Baton Rouge police began investigating a shooting reported in the 3600 block of Iroquois Street, said police spokesman Sgt. Don Coppola Jr. 

Chustz said one person was transported to a hospital for injuries.

The person's injuries are considered non-life threatening, Coppola said.
