The Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for two men in connection with the shooting of a 16-year-old in New Roads Friday afternoon.

Arrest warrants were issued for Terrance Montrell Rayford, of New Roads, on a count of attempted second-degree murder and for Richard LeRoy McClain Jr., also of New Roads, on a count of principal to attempted second-degree murder.

The 16-year-old was shot multiple times at 4 p.m. Friday while on St. Joseph Street in New Roads. He was reported to be in fair condition at a local hospital Saturday, according to Capt. Steve Juge.
