A 17-year-old boy sitting in a vehicle that was fired at multiple times early Sunday was shot in the head and wounded, police said in a news release.
The victim, whose name was not released by police, was lying on the pavement of Adams Avenue when officers arrived about 2:25 a.m., Capt. Joan Cage says in the release.
The victim and an 18-year-old woman were sitting in the vehicle parked at 2000 Adams Ave. when the car came under fire, the release says.
The woman wasn’t injured. The victim was taken to a hospital for critical injuries, Cage said.
