Police are looking for information in a series of burglaries in Baton Rouge.

Baton Rouge Police and the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office are working to identify two people who burglarized four businesses Thursday, stealing pharmaceuticals and money from some of them.

Baton Rouge Police handled two of the burglaries, the first at Brent’s Pharmacy on North Acadian Thruway at 2:30 a.m., and the second at the Circle K at 1644 Nicholson Drive at 4 a.m. In the first case, police say, the store was empty and the burglars left with pharmaceuticals, while in the second, a store employee confronted the intruders and they fled without stealing anything.

Casey Rayborn Hicks, the Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman, said the other burglaries Thursday were at a CVS Pharmacy and a New York Bagel store on Jefferson Highway, but she offered no more details. The New York Bagel store is at 8210 Jefferson Highway and the CVS is at 9608 Jefferson Highway.

A joint news release from both agencies describes one of the burglars as a black male with dreadlocks who was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and white gloves. The second burglar is described as a black male who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and white gloves.

Anyone with information on the identity of these men or on the black vehicle in this photo is urged to contact the Police Department’s Burglary Division at (225) 389-3824 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.
