A stretch of South Acadian Thruway is closed in both directions due to flooding Wednesday afternoon, according to the DOTD.
The KCS Railroad Overpass between Interstate 10 and Perkins Road is closed due to flooding. WBRZ reported that a thunderstorm briefly brought heavy rain around 3:30 p.m., causing some drivers to become stuck on the roadway.

Wednesday marks the second day storms have shut down a part of Acadian, with severe storms shutting down traffic on Acadian and I-110 for part of Tuesday evening.
According to WBRZ, no other roads in Baton Rouge are currently flooded.
