Police are trying to identify a man and a woman who robbed a Chevron gas station Oct. 6 on Airline Highway.

The couple went into the Chevron, 7234 Airline Highway, around 6:45 a.m. The man was armed with a handgun, the Baton Rouge Police news release says.

They took an undisclosed amount of merchandise and ran, the release says.

The police said the woman is black between 5 feet, 2 inches and 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 160 to 170 pounds, and she wore a baseball cap. Police said the man is black between 6 feet, 2 inches and 6 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 190-200 pounds, and wearing a white cover over his face. Both were wearing black shirts with white lettering and black pants.
