Kourtney Landor, 31, of Zachary, was arrested Sunday and accused of trying to stab her husband with scissors while their children were present.

A Zachary woman accused of trying to stab her husband with a pair of scissors while their children were present was arrested Sunday morning.

Her husband told deputies that he and his wife of four years, Kourtney Landor, 31, were arguing in the bathroom when she grabbed a pair of scissors and tried to stab him, according to an East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office report.

The couple’s 8-year-old and 18-month-old children were both in the house at the time, the report says.

Landor was yelling that she would kill her husband during the attack, but he disarmed her when he punched her in the face and took the scissors from her, the report says.

After that, she armed herself with a bat, but her uncle was able to calm her down.

Her husband, who was not identified, had two scratches on his face and one on his side, the report says. He also said his wife bit his finger.

Landor, of 20006 Bur Oak Drive, was booked into Parish Prison on counts of aggravated assault, battery, domestic abuse and child endangerment.
