A Baton Rouge man pleaded guilty in federal court Monday to attempted receipt of child pornography, the state Attorney General’s Office reported in a release.

FBI investigators had found sexually explicit images and videos of minors on computers belonging to 68-year-old George William Jarman and also determined that he’d used online subscriptions and peer-to-peer file sharing programs to access child pornography between 2006 and 2008, the release says.

No date has yet been set for Jarman’s sentencing. It wasn’t immediately clear Monday if Jarman’s guilty plea on Monday had been a part of a plea deal.

The case against Jarman was prosecuted by the federal Justice Department’s Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section.
