Keyond Green, 29

A man accused of holding two residents up at gunpoint inside their house and stealing wrapped Christmas presents, money and jewelry was arrested Wednesday, police said.

A Baton Rouge police officer responding to a call for help at an address in the 1900 block of Rhodes Avenue about 2 p.m. found Keyond Green, 29, inside with a black semi-automatic pistol in his right hand, according to a police report on the incident. Green disappeared briefly and reappeared without the firearm as the officer approached, the report said.

Two residents told authorities Green entered their dwelling without permission and pointed guns at them, one in each hand, according to the statement. After demanding jewelry and money, Green later walked through the house gathering wrapped holiday gifts in the presence of a 6-year-old child, the report said.

Two guns were found stashed in a cooler inside the kitchen, according to the document.

Green, of 2100 College Drive in Baton Rouge, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail on a count of armed robbery.
