The man is suspected of breaking into the vehicle and taking the credit card around 1 p.m. March 2 and went on to buy about $50 in merchandise from Pep Boys at 9704 Airline Highway, said Sgt. Don Coppola Jr., a Baton Rouge police spokesman.

He then went to the Albertson’s across the street and attempted to charge about $250 to the card but the purchase was declined, Coppola said.

Coppola asked anyone with information about the identity of the man to contact the Burglary Division at (225) 389-3824 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 388-7867.
