Baton Rouge police: Detox center employee booked in rape of patient _lowres

Julius Williams, 25

A Baton Rouge detox center employee is in jail after Baton Rouge Police say he raped a 20-year-old patient in a conference room at the South Foster Drive center.

Julius Williams, 25, 56489 Hano Road, Independence, walked into the woman’s room Sunday morning, told her she was in trouble and needed to come with him, a Baton Rouge Police report says.

Williams led the woman to a conference room where he kissed her, the report says, but the woman told him to stop and began to walk away.

Williams then grabbed her by the back of the neck, pushed her head down and raped her, the report says. The victim told police she cried and repeatedly asked Williams to stop.

Detectives interviewed a number of other patients at the detox center, 216 S. Foster Drive, who all reported the woman was upset and spent the rest of the morning crying, according to the report.

Officers arrested Williams at the detox center later Sunday. During an interview, he admitted to having sex with the victim but claimed it was consensual, the report says.

Police booked Williams into Parish Prison on one count of second-degree rape. His bail is set at $50,000.
