Man found with life-threatening gunshot wounds Wednesday night on North 23rd Street _lowres

Advocate staff photo by HILARY SCHEINUK -- Baton Rouge Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday night in the 1700 block of N. 23rd Street where police located a 22-year-old male victim in the roadway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. As of Thursday afternoon, the victim is still hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

A 22-year-old man was found in a roadway Wednesday night suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Baton Rouge police said.

The shooting occurred around 9:10 p.m. in the 1700 block of North 23rd Street, police said in a news release. The victim suffered life-threatening injuries.
