A Baton Rouge man has been arrested for robbing a store owner at gunpoint, stealing money from the store and the victim and shooting the victim in the leg, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
Roderick J. Gray, 23, 1350 Sora St. was booked late last week by the Baton Rouge Police Department with attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery and felon in possession of a firearm, according to the affidavit.
During the robbery, which took place just before 4 p.m. July 20, Gray reportedly pointed his gun at the victim and fired several shots at point blank range, the affidavit says.
The victim was hit in the leg while other bullets narrowly missed the upper portion of the victim’s body and face, the affidavit says.
Gray got away with the victim’s wallet and as well as cash from the register.
The victim told police they he knew Gray personally and picked Gray out of a photo line-up as the man who robbed the store, the affidavit says.
