The Baton Rouge Police Department made 14 arrests in an early-morning sting operation aimed at curbing prostitution in Louisiana’s capital city, Cpl. L’Jean McKneely, a police spokesman, said in a news release.

Narcotics detectives conducted the operation in several known prostitute hangouts, including areas along Scenic Highway, Airline Highway and Victoria Drive, McKneely said. Detectives also seized an unknown amount of crack cocaine during the sting.

Those arrested are:

--Tenieta Allen, 46, 3575 Victoria Drive No. 20, on prostitution.

--Misty Holloway, 26, 720 Sharp Road No. 30, on second-offense prostitution.

--Michelle Johnson, 42, 221 S. 11th St., on third-offense prostitution.

--Jacqueline Wallis, 37, 3492 W. Brookstown No. 17, on third-offense prostitution and possession of cocaine.

--Shanna Madison, 37, 675 Wooddale Drive, on prostitution.

--Crystal Brinson, 25, 2505 Edgewood Drive, on prostitution.

--Zena Ely, 43, 2613 Lobelia St., on second-offense prostitution.

--Lorena Martin, 41, 1061 N. 48th St., on second-offense prostitution.

--Selena Hansel, 40, 2434 Dayton St., on prostitution.

--Lloyd Mickens, 32, 2965 Erie St., on third-offense prostitution

--Jarvis Scott, 21, 3806 N. Acadian Thruway, on prostitution.

--Joseph Mars, 47, 1814 Bay St., on third-offense prostitution.

--Tonquincia Davis, 22, 3712 Byron St., on prostitution.

--Tarsheetka Shavers, 35, 6282 E. Glen Court, on second-offense prostitution and two fugitive warrants.

McKneely said Mars was reported missing by family members in June.
