Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 27-year-old man accused of having sex with a 13-year-old girl at the girl’s home earlier this year.

The girl told her mother and later police that she had sex with Paul Tyrone Johnson, of 8236 Keel Ave.

Deputies found Johnson hiding under his bed in his home when they arrived to arrest him, the report says. He has been charged with carnal knowledge of a juvenile in 2007 and in 2011, according to the report.

Johnson was booked into Parish Prison on Monday night on a count of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

BR man booked in child porn case

Authorities arrested a Baton Rouge man accused of distributing about 50 images and videos of child pornography in September.

Investigators traced explicit files of girls between 8 and 13 years old through a file-sharing service to the computer of Randolph Kitts, 33, according to a police report. When officials arrived at Kitts’ home and spoke to him and his wife, he initially denied knowing about any child porn, but later acknowledged he may have downloaded images, the report says.

An investigator later found evidence of multiple files that had been deleted from his computer, according to the report.

Kitts, of 1330 Jim Taylor Drive, Apt. 52, was booked Monday into Parish Prison on counts of distributing pornography involving juveniles.
