A bicyclist was seriously injured in a hit and run late Thursday night riding his bike at a Siegen Lane intersection.
State Police spokesman Trooper First Class Bryan Lee said the man was hit around 11 p.m. at the intersection of Siegen Lane and Cloverland Avenue by what investigators believe may have been a dark-colored vehicle.
Police responded to a report about a cyclist who had been hit and when they arrived on the scene, they found the victim in serious condition. The man, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital.
Investigators know few details about the person driving the vehicle or the vehicle itself.
“It may have a broken headlight, broken mirror or broken window, possibly on the driver’s side,” Lee said.
Investigators are still trying to piece together what happened, but Lee said detectives have not received any witness statements on the wreck.
The investigation is ongoing, he said.
This comes after another cyclist was hit and killed by an 18-wheeler Thursday morning on Plank Road.
