Detectives have no motive in the shooting death early Monday of a man whose body was found lying in the middle of East Grant Street, Baton Rouge police said.
Cameron Matthews, 20, was found just before 4 a.m. when police received reports that a person was lying in the middle of East Grant Street at Tennessee Street, said Cpl. Don Coppola, a Baton Rouge police spokesman.
Officers and EMS personnel found that Matthews, of 1188 Rosenwald Road #11, Baton Rouge, had been shot in the head, according to a police news release. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release.
