Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Baton Rouge man accused of attacking a woman and throwing a lamp at her on Saturday, then fleeing from authorities to avoid capture.

Justin Henry Jr., 26, began punching the woman and when she fell to the ground, he kicked her repeatedly in the face and ribs, according to a Sheriff’s Office report.

Then Henry threw a lamp at her, which struck her in the arms, the report says.

The woman was left with several bruises, the report says. The man ran away when deputies arrived, but was arrested hours later, deputies say.

Henry, of 3611 Beechwood Drive, Baton Rouge, was booked into Parish Prison on counts of aggravated battery, domestic abuse battery and resisting arrest.
