Sheriff’s Office seeks man in shooting, wounding of another man on Greenwell Street Thursday _lowres

Photo provided by East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s -- East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Detectives are looking for a suspect in a shooting incident that occurred on February 25, 2016 at approximately 5:40 p.m. in the 6000 block of Greenwell Street in which one man was injured.

The Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who shot a person in the leg Thursday after the two got into an argument in a parking lot on Greenwell Street.

East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the shooting, which took place around 5:40 p.m. in the 6000 block of Greenwell Street, the Sheriff’s Office news release says.

Deputies believe the suspect fired multiple shots at the victim before he struck the victim in the leg, according to the release.

Investigators are looking for a black male who is 6 feet 5 inches tall and has a mohawk hair style. The shooter is believed to be driving an older model vehicle, either blue or green, the release says.
