Four people were shot and injured, one critically, in an overnight shooting at an apartment complex on North Lobdell Avenue, Baton Rouge police said.

Shortly after 3 a.m. Thursday, four people were shot “after a verbal and physical altercation” at Hawthorne Heights Apartments at 2136 N. Lobdell Ave., Baton Rouge police spokesman Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said in a news release.

All of the victims were transported to an area hospital. One victim is in critical condition, McKneely said. The three other victims suffered not life-threatening injuries.
