Investigators are looking for a man who used a gun to rob the owner of Bingo Chevron late Monday, a police spokesman said.

The armed robber confronted the gas station owner while he was in the store’s cooler, Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said.

“Don’t do anything stupid,” McKneely said the man told the owner.

The owner then followed the man to the cash register at the front of the store at 9936 Airline Highway, McKneely said.

The man took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled, McKneely said. No one was injured.

The armed robber was described as being a black man between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and 18 and 25 years old, McKneely said. The man was wearing a black T-shirt and had the lower portion of his face covered with a towel.
