Baton Rouge police on Wednesday arrested a Texas man accused of knowingly exposing a sex partner to HIV without telling her.

Police say Christopher Creek, 41, was diagnosed with HIV in 2009, but twice had unprotected sex with a woman without disclosing his status, according to an arrest warrant

The woman contacted both Creek’s wife and an ex-girlfriend, who confirmed his illness, police said.

Authorities also obtained medical records that showed Creek had been treated for HIV in November while in custody at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center, according to the warrant.

Creek, 503 Willow St., Bertram, Texas, was booked Wednesday into Parish Prison on two counts of intentional exposure to HIV/AIDS.

Creek also has outstanding warrants in Nevada for attempted possession of credit cards without cardholders consent and another warrant in Texas for theft.
