Multiple agencies collaborated on an undercover operation Thursday evening to round up 14 people accused of prostituting themselves in the Baton Rouge area through a website called Back Page.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, Baton Rouge Police and the FBI’s Human Trafficking Division targeted internet prostitution and human trafficking in the Baton Rouge area. In most of the arrests, officers called numbers advertised on Back Page and posed as customers, meeting the person on the end of the line at various locations around Baton Rouge. Once the officer agreed on a “deal” with the person and handed over cash, authorities arrested the individual.
