Seven fire trucks responded Thursday evening to a fire that burned for more than an hour, engulfing a double-wide storage facility on Jones Creek Road.

The fire at 4540 Jones Creek Road was 1,500 feet from the street and was reported shortly after 6 p.m., St. George Fire Department Spokesman Eldon Ledoux said in a news release. Both the St. George Fire Department and the East Side Fire Department went to the scene, where they found the uninhabited storage unit burning. The fire was not brought under control until about 7:15 p.m., as hot spots continued to burn for over an hour.

There were no injuries, and investigators had yet to determine what caused the fire Thursday evening.
