A 57-year-old woman was arrested Monday by Baton Rouge Police and accused of firing a handgun at people outside of a Baton Rouge residence, striking a 15-year-old boy and threatening to shoot several children, a police report says.
Lynda Collins, 1737 La Annie, Apt. 54, threatened to shoot children outside of 12834 Wallis St. around 11:30 p.m. after her nephew and the victim’s brother had a fight, the report says. Collins then shot at several people outside the residence and in the house itself, police say. She struck the teenager, who was transported to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital to be treated, the Baton Rouge Police report says.
Police said Collins was booked on a count of attempted first-degree murder, illegal use of a firearm, aggravated criminal damage to property and aggravated assault with a firearm.
