A single-vehicle crash in Denham Springs about 4 p.m. injured two occupants, including one person that remained trapped in the vehicle for several hours before being rescued.
One of the occupants was taken to a hospital shortly after the car crashed on La. 1024 near Clinton Allen Road, said Trooper 1st Class Bryan Lee, a State Police spokesman.
But emergency responders worked for 4½ hours to remove the second person, who wasn’t critically injured but remained trapped in the vehicle until about 8:30 p.m., Lee said.
Lee said the injuries to both people aren’t believed to be life-threatening. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
