A Baton Rouge couple’s domestic dispute Sunday night ended up with her in the hospital with multiple injuries and, two days later, him in parish prison.
David Jackson, 36, 1550 Orlando Drive, faces multiple counts, including a count of domestic abuse with child endangerment and a count of strangulation. His bond is set at $5,000.
According to the arrest warrant, Jackson repeatedly hit his wife in a rising tide of violence. She said he punched her a number of times, hit her with a tricycle, threw her across the room, made her undress, beat her with a belt, then tried to strangle her. All of this, she told police, was witnessed by their two children, both under the age of 6.
At the hospital she was diagnosed with a dislocated left shoulder and a fractured nose, the warrant says.
