An 18 year old from Baton Rouge was arrested Tuesday after he was wanted for eight months in the shooting of his sister's boyfriend, according to a Baton Rouge Police report.

Police say Kendall Johnson approached the man while he was sleeping in his car on Sept. 1, 2016 and shot him once in the stomach before his gun jammed and he ran away. Officers noted in the report that the bullet went through the victim and lodged in the car seat. The victim survived and was able to identify Johnson to the police.

Johnson, of 5719 Beech St., Baton Rouge, was booked in Parish Prison on a warrant dated Sept. 21, 2016 on aggravated criminal damage to property and attempted second-degree murder.
