Police say woman stabbed boyfriend

A woman was arrested Monday after allegedly stabbing her live-in boyfriend, according to an affidavit of probable cause from the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The victim told deputies Alexis Rena Short became upset and jealous while he was on the phone and stabbed him, the affidavit said.

The victim noticed he was bleeding, left the apartment and asked a neighbor to bring him to the hospital, the affidavit said.

The victim suffered two deep stab wounds and a collapsed lung, the affidavit said.

Short, 26, 14130 Azalea Park, Apt. D, was booked into Parish Prison on one count each of attempted second-degree murder and domestic abuse battery.

Man, 63, arrested in sexual battery case

Police arrested a man Tuesday for alleged sexual battery of a 14-year-old girl, according to an arrest warrant.

The victim told police that Eddie Henderson grabbed her genitalia while they swam in a pool at his house during the summer of 2010, the affidavit said.

The victim also said Henderson forced her into the laundry room at his house and took pictures of her breasts with his cell phone, the affidavit said.

The victim also received emails from Henderson that asked for her panties, the affidavit said.

Henderson, 63, 9440 Windward Road, was booked into Parish Prison on one count each of sexual battery; indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a minor.

Authorities arrest 9 on suspicion of DWI

Authorities arrested at least nine people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Monday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, booking records show.

Those booked and the counts against them:

Tracy Boaca, 37, 29 Queens Court, Chalmette, second-offense DWI, speeding, reckless operation of a vehicle and improper lane usage.

James Cottrell, 22, 1230 Sharlo Ave., first-offense DWI.

Gregory Flowers, 51, 35217 Curtis Drive, Denham Springs, first-offense DWI, hit and run, driving under suspension, reckless operation of a vehicle and disobeying a red light.

John Harpole, 25, 5551 Duncan Kenner Drive, second-offense DWI, following too close and reckless operation of a vehicle.

Aaron Laplante, 20, 4076 Bennett St., Zachary, first-offense DWI and speeding.

Ryan Lowe, 19, 701 Moss Lane, River Ridge, first-offense DWI and headlights required.

Hanley Poche, 18, 3072 Conway Drive, first-offense DWI, improper lane usage, headlight required and equipment violation.

Phillip Shaffett, 33, 34983 Phillip Drive, Denham Springs, first-offense DWI, reckless operation of a vehicle and speeding.

James Schaefer, 21, 940 Richmond Court, Mandeville, first-offense DWI, failure to maintain control and registration expired or required.
