Authorities are looking for a man wanted in the Monday robbery of a Chase Bank on O’Neal Lane between Old Hammond Highway and Interstate 12.
The man, described as about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing between 180 and 190 pounds, entered the bank about noon and passed a note to a teller that indicated he was armed and demanded money, said Casey Rayborn Hicks, a spokeswoman for the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.
A weapon was not seen in the man’s possession during the robbery, Hicks said.
The man fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash in a silver or gray older-model Toyota Camry, Hicks said.
The man wore a bright green, short-sleeved collared shirt with white splatter on it during the robbery. He also wore a black long-sleeved shirt underneath. In addition, he wore a black hat with a Fox Head symbol on it, Hicks said.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (225) 389-5000 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.
